Attract Attention with A-Frame Signs!

A-Frame signs are a cost-effective way of getting your message seen.

Whether you’re advertising a flash sale or letting foot traffic know you’re open for business, there’s no better way of making sure that people take notice. They are the perfect choice when you need a lightweight outdoor sign and can withstand whatever Mother Nature throws at them. When it comes to sandwich signs, they can be used for a wide variety of applications – not just advertising the special of the day outside a restaurant. Here are 4 different applications where it makes good sense to use an A-Frame sign:

Sidewalk Sales and Promotions

Traditionally, sandwich board signs have been used for sidewalk advertising purposes. When placed on the sidewalk outside of a business, they force people to take notice as they walk around them. When you design your A-frame sign, be aware of where it’s going to reside. For example, if you’re going to be putting it at the end of the block – and your business resides several doors down – be sure to include some basic directions that will let the reader know where you’re located at. They can also be used to just let people know you’re open for business. If you don’t have a huge architectural sign outside of your brick-and-mortar business, sometimes people need a little guidance.  An A-frame sign will easily let them know of your establishment and where you’re located at.

Roadside Signage for Events

Farmer’s Markets, Trade shows, and even county fairs need the ability to direct foot and vehicle traffic for both safety and wayfinding purposes. If your event has a parking lot, then an A-frame sign is the perfect way to direct traffic. They can be also constructed with high-visibility materials which makes them perfect for parking garages that are dimly lit as well as construction sites. Reflective decals can easily be added to the sandwich sign for even greater visibility.

Residential Street Signs

If you live in a residential neighborhood where cars routinely break the speed limit and drive fast, an A-frame sign is perfect to let them know to slow down because there are children playing nearby. A simple silhouette of a child at play with the words “SLOW – CHILDREN AT PLAY” should be enough to cause motorists to heed the residential speed limit. A-frame signs are also great if you’re having a garage sale - several of them can be put up near intersections with arrows indicating the direction of your house. Elementary and middle schools can also take advantage of them by clearly indicating loading and unloading zones for improved traffic and child safety.

A-Frame Benefits

A-frame signs are unique in that they are dual-sided. No matter which direction people are walking in, they’re sure to see it. Due to their unique construction, they can be filled with either water or sand – which enables them to stand up to fierce winds, rain, or snow without falling over. There are also finishing options available that will make them UV and weather-resistant as well as prevent fading from sun damage. They can be made from a wide range of materials such as plastic, PVC material, corrugated plastic (Coroplast), or even steel. They can be constructed as an outdoor chalkboard, whiteboard (dry erase), or even a magnetic board. There are plenty of coatings and finishes to choose from which will not only enhance their looks but protect them as well. Best of all, when compared to traditional signage, A-frame signs are very affordable. If properly taken care of, they will last for many years to come and can be easily stored due to how thin they are when folded flat.
