In 1993, foresighted community members came together to help Spring Branch Independent School District serve its students. The area was growing, students were pouring into the district, and the budget was stretched thin. An education foundation would provide a vehicle for donors to make tax-deductible gifts to fund programs not covered by the district’s budget. And with that forethought, the Spring Branch Education Foundation became a reality.
The Spring Branch Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that Alphagraphics of West Houston has had the pleasure of partnering with for over 10 years. This foundation funds programs for students across the Spring Branch district. They rely on a generous community in order to assist students throughout their education career including grants, scholarships, mentoring programs, libraries, technology and so much more.
In 2020 the foundation is experiencing an even greater need for the community’s assistance. Approximately 59% of students are considered economically disadvantaged, with even more affected by the financial uncertainty caused by COVID-19.
In spite of this uncertainty, the foundation would like all students to be able to walk confidently into class on their first day of school without the worry that comes with not having the supplies they need. This confidence will allow them to concentrate on having a successful school year.
Please know that we appreciate the stress caused by changes in everyone’s economic situation. Some have lost their jobs, are working fewer hours or have experienced a reduction in their investments. We know our community has been affected. If you are able, now more than ever, our disadvantaged students also need our help.
Please consider donating to the foundation to help some of their most disadvantaged students.
