On Friday, December 16, 2016 the phone rang at our AlphaGraphics Center in Marietta, Georgia. The gentleman calling stated he was preparing for his friend’s “Celebration of Life” ceremony scheduled for the following Tuesday morning. The man visited our center that very afternoon and disclosed that his friend was none other than Craig Sager, the well-known NBA broadcaster, who had recently passed away.
Our center owner, Curtis Gropman, stated that the client mentioned he didn’t know exactly what he wanted other than some “big pieces” for the more than 1,000 people attending the service. “We developed a quick plan to produce two 8’x10′ banners and stands, a 4’x5′ PVC piece for signing and another 5’x7′ banner with stand. Our amazing in-house designers Jason Hartmann and Candace Petron worked all day on Monday to produce the pieces on our HP latex machine. We installed everything by 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Highlights of the ceremony and banners were shown on ESPN, CNN, USA Today and other major networks.”
“The customer was blown away by our creative approach, high quality output and fast turnaround. I am grateful to work with such a professional and dedicated team that makes sure my promises are kept!,” said Curtis. RIP Craig Sager, you are forever missed.
