Mobile Search: Search Engine Marketing Evolves (Part 1)

Search Engine Optimization or Search Engine Marketing is much more holistic now than it was before.  SEO is growing up.   Now you need to come up with a great search engine marketing strategy to help improve the odds of your web properties (website, microsite, apps)  getting found. For this post lets look at mobile search. Mobile search is the future of internet search. According to Search Engine Land: "mobile traffic now accounts for 28% of website traffic, up a whopping 67% year-over-year. [And] YouTube’s mobile traffic had grown from 6% of total site traffic in 2011 to 40% in 2013. " What this means from an SEO perspective is that you need to start taking into consideration mobile intent when building your search marketing strategy. Design your website to be mobile friendly so that it renders well on tablets and phone.  I'd even suggest start using MORE video as part of your strategy, and host the video on YouTube.  Also build content around local wants and needs.  This can be tricky.
