Using Graphics and Signs to Make Your Event Successful

Events and trade-shows are used for : launching a new product, promoting a cause or showcasing your business, or bringing awareness to a cause. Regardless of the reason, your custom event is a great mode to help create awareness. By using graphics and signs, you can make your event more successful before it begins, throughout its duration and even after it’s over.

Here are a few pointers and tips:

  1. Prior to starting the event, be sure to spread the word and attract interest by sending out an EDDM or direct mail to your customers.  You can also create buzz by: hanging flags, banners and posters in easy to see locations. The details of the event can be displayed on a digital sign, and you can also consider using a mobile app to provide additional content and details about the approaching activities.
  2. During the event, present your special guests with custom awards and plaques and include honorable mentions about them and their accomplishments. Increase the impact of your theme and create a brand for the event by using podium and stage graphics, photo backdrops, exhibits and displays, wall and floor graphics, and digital signs. Set up proper regulatory and safety signs to protect people, and provide directions to help them navigate the area using wayfinding signs and floor or pavement graphic.
  3. After the event is finished, provide a parting gift such as a wearable item or another kind promotional product for your guests to leave them with a lasting impression. This will also remind them about your products, your brand and the event. Again, be sure to use directional signage to help visitors exit the premise safely. It is also a good idea to follow up by sending out themed brochures, thank-you cards, promotional items and links to photos or videos to further communicate the major themes and messages behind your event.
