The Award Goes To...

(post by guest-blogger: Cynthia) Yesterday was my 1-year anniversary of working full-time here at AlphaGraphics. Of course the day went unnoticed despite my many attempts at turning it into a parade-worthy occasion. Even my subtle hint of bringing in treats for breakfast didn't even work. Contrary to the belief of some of the (male) members of the AlphaGraphics North Liberty team, I do think I deserve some sort of award for working alongside the father/son team of Nick & Dennis for 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week. Especially since for 8 of the last 12 months I was the only female in the office! Alas, the past year has not been completely horrible. Some of the highlights include: - driving up to Fort Dodge (and back) for the day with Dennis for a client meeting - riding in the AG truck for the North Liberty Fun Days parade - reminding the boys that there are more college teams to cheer on besides the Cyclones! - grilling out brats for lunch on more than one occasion - getting one of the restrooms designated as "Womens" - lots of fish tacos from the restaurant next door! - learning who Dan Patrick & The Danettes are and being able to tell my husband what the sporting news of the day is I'm sure I forgot something...in which case Nick or Dennis will let me know! All in all, AlphaGraphics has been an awesome place to spend 40 hours/week of my life. I've still made a gold medal for myself. That's just the way I am...
